Joining the Coupon craze


Ok, I decided to join in on the coupon craze. I attended a workshop and learned how the system works. I only wish I would have learned this a long time ago. I have made two trips to Walgreens already this week. I did much better on my second trip. Here is how my second trip went:

1st TRANSACTION:
5 Huggies wipes @ $6.00 ea

Total before coupons: $30
Used (5) $5 IPCs
(Internet Printable coupons from www.coupons.com. You can print 2 coupons per computer.)

Total After Coupons: $5 + tax
Received $10 RR
(RR: Register Rewards to be used like cash on next purchase. This was a special going on at Walgreens. You received $10 RR when you purchased $25 in Huggies diapers/wipes)

Final total: +$5.00

2nd TRANSACTION:
1 Garnier Shampoo @ $2.99
($2 off in store coupon from easy saver catalog)
1 Garnier Conditioner @ $2.99
($2 off in store coupon from easy saver catalog)
1 Rightgaurd Deodorant @ $2.99
($2 RR)
2 Coffeemate Creamers @ $2.49 ea.
(Buy one Get one plus $1.50 off 1 coupon)
3 Energizer Batteries @ $5.29 ea.
($15 rebate when you buy 3 Energizer Batteries plus each battery had $.50 off peelie coupon)
1 AXE Shampoo @ $5.99
($5.99 rebate)


Total Before Coupons: $35.81
Coupons: $7
Store BOGO: $2.49
RR used: $12 ($10 from 1st transaction)

Total OOP: $14.32 + tax

Rebates: + $20.99
RR: $2

Total for trip: $65.81
Total OOP: $19.32
Total Rebates: $20.99

Grand Total: + $1.67
RR to be used on next trip: $2
